With Birds of Tropical Paradise and you are vacationing in Puerto Vallarta count yourself lucky! In this paradise there are nearly 350 bird species in varied ecosystems and habitats.
Green Jay, Tropical Kingbird, San Blas Jay, Yellow-winged Cacique, Social Flycatcher, Golden-cheeked Woodpecker and Russet-crowned Motmot are all common sightings in the area.
Our first stop is Mismaloya and our adventure begins and having a light breakfast among sightings of Hummingbirds, Robins, Happy Wrens, Parakeets, Kiskadees, Flycatchers, Motmot Sparrows, Inca Doves, Cacophonous Woodpeckers, among others.
We´ll continue to Los Veranos where this part of the jungle is classified as Tropical Deciduous Forest and holds a great diversity of Mexican endemics and local species.
These include Masked Tityra, Squirrel Cuckoo, Orange-fronted Parakeets, Russet-crowned Motmot and possible the Military Macaws among many others.
As a special treat to end our Tropical Bird Watching Tour, we’ll travel to the Botanical Gardens to enjoy a beautiful mountain setting, explore the Gardens and discover its many birds.
Our guides are avid birders and occasionally they don’t need to see the birds to identify the species, they can identify them by their songs.
They will share their knowledge and experience to help you easily identify birds at the Gardens.
Enjoy a cold drink accompanied by guacamole, chips and salsa enjoying the gardens and overlooking the sparkling Rio Los Horcones.
