Galleria Dante and its dining venues are starting the 2026–2027 season with artist demonstrations, hands-on classes, refreshed menus and returning dining offerings in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone.

Galleria Dante is at Basilio Badillo #269. The family-run gallery has operated for more than 30 years, represented more than 60 artists and is described as Puerto Vallarta’s largest and most eclectic art gallery. It is opening again to art lovers and collectors, with events scheduled for the months ahead.

Ricardo Sanchez begins the season with watercolors inspired by Día de Muertos and will lead drawing and watercolor workshops. The schedule includes Drawing with Perspective on December 15, Introduction to Watercolor on December 17, Drawing and Composition on February 16, Watercolor: Humans and Animals on February 18, Watercolor: Los Muertos on March 16 and Watercolor: Architecture on March 18.

Those classes run from 11 am to 4 pm, cost 1,500 pesos each and provide materials. Their subjects include perspective, composition, people, animals, architecture and Día de Muertos themes. Detailed descriptions are available at ricardosanchez.art/events or at Galleria Dante.

Cheris Sibley will lead Paint Your Pet from January 20 to 22, with sessions from 9:30 am to 3 pm. The two reported prices are 6,500 pesos without materials and 8,000 pesos with materials. Reservations and information are available at 1-250-801-1791 or c.sibley2026(at)yahoo.com.

Meet the Artists Nights are returning every two weeks in conjunction with the South Side Shuffle. Selected Fridays run from 6 to 9 pm through April 16, 2027. Visitors can meet artists, watch them work and learn about the process behind paintings, sculptures and mixed-media pieces. Israel Zepeda is scheduled to present painting and sculpture on February 19, while additional artists will take part during the season.

Di Vino Dante Wine and Tapas Bar has reopened after extensive work and menu experimentation. Its team has new members, and its food and cocktail selections have changed. The bar operates Monday through Saturday from 3:00 to 11:00 pm. Brunch is returning, with service expected to begin November 2 and planned hours of 10 am to 2 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Pizza Joe 2.0 is expected to reopen on the rooftop in December with additional menu offerings. Together, Galleria Dante, Di Vino Dante and Pizza Joe are a long-running family business combining art, food and hospitality in the heart of the Romantic Zone.

Visitors can browse the collection, meet participating artists, have a meal or cocktail and find something to take home. Galleria Dante offers worldwide insured shipping for collectors sending art abroad. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm; contact it at (322) 222-2477 or info(at)galleriadante.com.
