Nacho Daddy will mark Día de Muertos with a weekend of music paying tribute to Mexico’s cultural roots. The program reflects Día de Muertos’ blending of Indigenous Mexican and Spanish influences.

The events begin with a Día de Muertos concert by Brenda Gaviño on Thursday, October 29, at 7:30 pm. The venue’s 18th Anniversary and Halloween Party follows on Saturday, October 31. The party will include food specials and themed drinks, and guests are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and enter a contest for a chance to win prizes. The Texas Embassy Blues Band and a special guest will provide the music.

On November 1 at 5:00 pm, Fado with Ale Matus y Dabit Azonfeia returns for a second season. Fado is Portugal’s traditional folk music, known for an emotional blend of longing, romance, passion, and nostalgia. The program celebrates music by Portuguese artists and composers including Amália Rodrigues, Mariza, and Madredeus. The show features Alejandra Matus’s voice, accompanied by musicians on violin, guitar, and accordion, and is presented by the artistic company Tromba Vetusta. The concert invites guests to share an evening of songs, cultural traditions, and remembrance.

Nacho Daddy is at Basilio Badillo #287, two blocks from the beach in the heart of the Romantic Zone. It is open daily from 11 am to 12 am for lunch, dinner, live music, and entertainment, and accepts credit cards. Weekday happy hour runs from 4 to 6 pm.

The Texas Embassy Blues Band also performs every Friday in the upstairs air-conditioned theater from 8:30 to 10:30 pm, with no cover charge. The band has been a favorite on the local music scene for 18 years. Nacho Daddy has held Halloween celebrations in Puerto Vallarta for 18 years. Visitors can plan the October 29 concert, the October 31 party, or the November 1 Fado performance around the venue’s daily hours at Basilio Badillo #287.
