Puerto Vallarta hosts Mexico karaoke finals

Puerto Vallarta will host the Mexican National Finals of the Karaoke World Championships over two evenings at Coco Cabaret in the city’s Romantic Zone. The event is scheduled for August 3 and 4 at 5:00 pm, with tickets priced at 300 pesos.

Singers from across Mexico will compete after advancing through local and state qualifying rounds. Patriz Fomitchev and Losanna Diaz Avila are among the competitors. The national competition will feature two evenings of performances, special guests, and other entertainment, while seating for the event is limited.

Coco Cabaret by The Palm is located at Francisco I Madero #289 in Zona Romantica. The venue is a five-minute walk from the original Coco Cabaret, and its phone number is 322-222-2017.

Fomitchev, 20, is originally from Vancouver and made her debut at Incanto’s Open Mic in 2022. She made her debut at age 16, has appeared in numerous productions at Coco Cabaret, and has starred in Evita. She also performed an Amy Winehouse tribute at The Palm Cabaret and has become one of the area’s standout performers.

Diaz Avila gained national recognition as a contestant on La Voz México in 2021 and has performed for audiences throughout Mexico. She has performed in Dwight Blake’s MoSoul Concerts at Teatro Vallarta and has delivered tributes to Jennifer Lopez, Selena Quintanilla, and Christina Aguilera. She is also a favorite at The Palm Cabaret and Coco Cabaret.

The Karaoke World Championships was founded in Finland in 2003. Vocalists from dozens of countries compete each year, and the competition has grown into the world’s largest international karaoke competition.

The August finals will determine which artist represents Mexico at the 2026 KWC World Finals in Las Vegas. The winner will have the opportunity to carry Mexico’s flag before an international audience there later in 2026. The world finals are scheduled for October 25–29 at the Veil Pavilion inside Silverton Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For a visitor, the practical plan is to head to Coco Cabaret by The Palm for the 5:00 pm start on either August 3 or 4 and check seating availability at 322-222-2017.
