IMSS-Bienestar will hold a breast cancer prevention walk on October 25 at 6:00 a.m. The walk is intended to promote breast cancer prevention efforts, and men and women of all ages are expected to participate. Men, women, young people, children, and pets can participate in the walk.

The route will go around La Loma. Reports differ on the walk’s location details: one event detail places the meeting point at the Concha Acústica in La Loma recreational park, while another places the finish at the Concha Acústica of La Loma around 7:00 a.m.

The prevention message includes breast self-examination. Women of all ages need to learn how to perform breast self-examinations to prevent more women from dying of breast cancer.

The human papillomavirus test is completely free, and the test will help prevent cervical cancer. Men and women are invited to take the human papillomavirus test, according to the invitation. Diana Zuley Aburto Pineda is a clinical-care nurse and an IMSS-Bienestar worker.

Anyone planning to participate can use the 6:00 a.m. start time and the Concha Acústica in La Loma as the practical details to follow.
