Punta de Mita mural festival set for October 2026

The Primer Festival del Mural de Punta de Mita will take place from October 23 to 26, 2026.

The call for participation closes on September 10, which is also the deadline to register. National and international muralists can still register their proposals.

During the festival, the public will be able to walk around Punta de Mita and watch artists create murals in real time on different walls in the locality. Visitors will have a map to locate the artworks and follow the creative process.

The festival seeks to turn the streets of Punta de Mita, Nayarit, into a meeting space for art, the community, and visitors.

According to the organizers, the initiative aims to bring art closer to the community and create spaces for muralist talent.

They also say it aims to strengthen Punta de Mita’s cultural identity through works that will remain part of its urban landscape.
