Héctor Santana presided over a new accountability report presenting progress by departments of the H. XII Ayuntamiento and announcing new actions for Bahía de Banderas families.

Civil Protection detailed preventive measures implemented in response to Hurricane Simón, including surveillance patrols in the mountains, the coastal area, and places susceptible to landslides and flooding. Ten new vehicles are also scheduled to arrive to strengthen surveillance operations in Bahía de Banderas.

The bridge at La Quebrada in Aguamilpa has been completed. The project is expected to improve connectivity in the mountainous area, particularly during the rainy season. Road rehabilitation, drinking-water and drainage works, and infrastructure projects were reported to be in progress in various localities.

Drainage construction in the Nuevo San Clemente neighborhood will receive an investment of 10.5 million pesos and will install two kilometers of pipe. Residents say the drainage demand there had remained unresolved for approximately 25 years.

During the last month, OROMAPAS repaired 277 leaks: 195 involving drinking water and 82 involving wastewater. OROMAPAS also reported progress in dividing the Valle de Banderas hydraulic network into sectors. Water-distribution tanker shifts currently operate from 7:00 to 23:00.

Additional planned works include projects in the Bicentenario neighborhood of Villas Miramar, the access to El Mirador neighborhood in San Juan de Abajo, and interventions in San Quintín, San Pancho, San José del Valle, and Los Sauces. The municipality plans to begin 11 additional works during the following month and a half.

Beach vendors who meet the established requirements are due to receive financial support of 2,000 pesos each, with payments scheduled for the following week. Applicants may register at the Registry and Licensing offices in the La Mega area.

The Bahía de Banderas Institute of Municipal Planning completed registration of its sea accesses to protect them from possible privatization. Héctor Santana requested that the land-use planning program consider the 136 polygons identified as irregular.

Police officers will receive new 5.11-brand uniforms, with delivery scheduled for November. A free municipal rhythmic gymnastics school was announced for girls and boys of different ages, with classes to be taught by instructor María Elena Guardián at the sports unit. The 2026 Municipal Sports Award is scheduled for presentation on November 20.

The mayor provided support to athletes, escaramuzas, and educational groups. Héctor Santana said he was proud and satisfied that his duty had been fulfilled. The administration said it would maintain its pace of work through the end of 2026, with new works, stronger public services, and direct attention to citizens’ demands.

For immediate practical information, visitors can note the current tanker shift hours and the locations named for planned works, while beach vendors can use the La Mega-area offices to register applications.
