Avenida México work brings six-week closures
SEAPAL Vallarta will begin replacing a subcollector at the intersection of Avenida México and Avenida Las Palmas on October 6, 2026.
The intersection is in the Mojoneras delegation area, near SEAPAL Vallarta’s Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales Norte I. The intervention will be concentrated at that intersection, which the agency’s distributed map marks as an intermittent work zone.
The estimated duration is six weeks, and the work will cause intermittent road closures for approximately six weeks. The notice states that closures will occur intermittently as the work progresses, but SEAPAL did not specify the closure times.
SEAPAL recommended that people traveling through the area take precautions and consider alternate routes.
The work is intended to improve sanitary service in the area. SEAPAL said the work is being carried out to improve the service it provides and to prevent risks to the health and environment of people from Puerto Vallarta.
If the schedule is maintained, SEAPAL said the work would conclude around mid-November.
SEAPAL disseminated the information on its official Facebook page and thanked the public for its understanding.
