Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica Sets October Dates
Jalisco will be the main host for the 18th edition of Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica 2026, announced by Jalisco and Nayarit. The event will take place from October 4 to October 7, with activities in Puerto Vallarta, San Sebastián del Oeste, Riviera Nayarit, and Bucerías.
Its theme is “Discovering a New Reality.” The program includes showcookings, gourmet workshops, premium tastings, and keynote conferences, with national and international chefs and mixologists taking part. More than 80 gastronomic experts from Mexico, Spain, the United States, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Chile will attend.
Jalisco’s delegation of local chefs includes Francisco Ruano, Xrysw Ruelas, and Óscar Segundo. This year’s edition will give special attention to Mexican chefs recognized with Michelin Stars, while the Michelin Guide has also granted recognitions to restaurants in Jalisco.
Jalisco was designated as the venue for the 2027 Guía México Gastronómico by Culinaria Mexicana. For that presentation, Jalisco will bring representative products including chile de Yahualica, raicilla, and tequila.
The two states aim to strengthen regional collaboration through the event. They also aim to strengthen gastronomy as a strategic asset for tourism and the regional economy, attract visitors, generate economic spillover, and project the region’s culinary identity nationally and internationally. Jalisco is seeking to consolidate its presence in the international gastronomic scene.
For visitors, the practical starting point is the four-day calendar: plan around October 4 to 7 and check which activities are scheduled in Puerto Vallarta, San Sebastián del Oeste, Riviera Nayarit, or Bucerías before choosing where to go.
