Gay+ Mixers Set 36-Event Puerto Vallarta Season for 2026-2027

Puerto Vallarta’s Gay+ Mixers return for a 36-event 2026-2027 season running from September 29, 2026, through May 25, 2027. The season opens at Margarita Grill on September 29, 2026, and closes with a Pride Mixer during Pride Week on May 25, 2027.

Unless otherwise noted, mixers run on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m., and the vast majority of events in the season follow that schedule. The week of January 26-28, 2027, has two mixers. Locations are subject to change, so visitors should check the current schedule before going.

The format is an informal networking night for gay expats, locals and visitors. Music is kept at a low volume so participants can talk and network. Guests check in at the door and receive a name tag at each Gay+ Mixer. Some businesses put out light food, while most offer happy-hour drink pricing during the two-hour window.

Host venues clear away their usual tables and chairs to open space for mingling and to discourage people from clustering with the friends they came with. The 2026-2027 season includes 15 new locations. Villa Tita & Casitas hosts a mixer on November 17, 2026, and is the event’s first presenting sponsor.

The mixers trace back to October 2021, when Jet De La Isla launched Jet’s Meet and Greet. The first mixer was held on October 21, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at La Catrina Cantina. During the first two years, the event rotated through La Catrina Cantina, Plaza Romy and Incanto Vallarta before becoming a regular fixture.

Jet’s Meet and Greet built its following through De La Isla’s Facebook group, New Puerto Vallarta Gays: Everything Gay You Need or Want. In 2023, Out & About PV took over organizing the mixers and partnered with the group. The event later rebranded as Gay PV: Mixer. Everything You Must Know.

The Gay+ Mixers have grown into one of the city’s largest recurring LGBTQ+ community events, with more than 7,000 people attending during the previous season. The calendar directs readers to Out & About PV’s Facebook page and the New Puerto Vallarta Gays Facebook group for updates and the most current schedule. Start with the September 29 opening at Margarita Grill, or check those pages before choosing a later Tuesday.
