Search operation follows person falling from tourist boat in Puerto Vallarta

A person fell into the sea from a tourist boat. The incident occurred while a vessel was carrying out berthing and passenger-disembarkation maneuvers Sunday night.

Emergency personnel and naval personnel deployed a search operation. Rescuers were mobilized immediately after an alert was received through the 911 lines. Municipal Civil Protection and Firefighters personnel arrived, along with lifeguards.

The person was reported missing at sea. The search continues in the dock area in coordination with Navy personnel and the Port Captaincy. Rescuers are conducting sweeps using small boats despite nighttime visibility conditions. The exact causes of the incident had not been confirmed.
