Casa Tabachin

One of the original houses of Gringo Gulch, Architect Freddy Romero built it in old colonial Mexican style in 1957, Architect James Meares, a designer of Los Angeles Dorothy Chandler Music Pavilion, remodeled Casa Tabachin.

Raquel Brooks, long term resident and art dealer, has blended intimacy and charm into Casa Tabachin by decorating the two-level home with artworks from her famous gallery and special commissions by national artists.
